Another tourist spot for adventurer’s, is the Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan. It is one of the most significant protected areas of the Philippines because of its extraordinary site.

It features a spectacular limestone or karst mountain landscape with one of the most impressive cave systems in the world. It contains an 8.2 km long underground river that flows directly to the sea. Also the the lower half of the river is brackish and subject to the oceans tide. A subterranean river flowing directly into the sea and the associated tidal influence makes it the most unique natural phenomenon of its type to exist.

Puerto Princesa is really a place to see and experience a different kind of site. It also symbolizes the commitment of the Filipino people of conserving our precious environment.
